Congratulations on taking the first step! Now that you have decided that you need some help, If you are having difficulty understanding exactly how to express that need, you are not alone.
Deciding to attend therapy is a great step in saying yes to yourself or to your relationship. Therapy is a safe place for you to express yourself, get comfort and understanding and get motivation and accountability to work and meet your goals.
Now that you have decided to improve your life, the first step is to call or email me and tell me generally what you would like to work on, what time of day is best for therapy and whether or not you have insurance. I accept all private insurances including Tricare. I will call or email you back within 24 hours to set up an initial appointment, where we will get to know each other.
All clients will fill out needed paperwork like consents, HIPPA, etc. to consent to the initial evaluation. The first session will be to gather important information in order to recommend level of treatment. Once outpatient is recommended, we will then discuss goals and develop a treatment plan. Therapy can range from 1-2 months to 6 months to ongoing supportive treatment.
Before the initial appointment, please take a picture of the front and back of your insurance card and email it to me along with your date of birth. This will help my billing staff find our what your co-pay will be before your first appointment. At the initial appointment, you will fill out a demographics page and several consent forms. If you are coming with your adolescent over 14 years old, the client can sign the consent forms. If your child is 13 years of age or younger, you (the parent) will need to sign the consent forms. If you want to sign them ahead of time, go to the client center tab, print them out, sign them and bring them along with you to your first appointment.
